SSC CGL EXAM PATTERN Staff Selection Commission holds the Combined Graduate Level exam every year. The recruitment process of SSC CGL includes four tiers namely Tier 1, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV.
The SSC CGL Exam follows a distinctive exam pattern which is detailed below: Brief details of various phases of SSC CGL Exam.
Phase 1: Tier I- This phase comprises of four different sections with 25 questions in each section. The maximum marks allotted to the question paper of SSC CGL Tier I is 200.
There are four sections which should be prepared thoroughly namely:
• English Comprehension
• General Intelligence & Reasoning
• Quantitative Aptitude and
• General Awareness.
Phase 2: Tier II- This phase includes questions related to the “methodological knowledge of English Language” and “Quantitative Aptitude”. The questions are divided into three sets.
Phase 3: Tier III- This phase requires thorough and expert writing skills in the English language. Aspirants need to prepare this section very well. It is a descriptive test where an essay and letter is given to the candidates to write on any burning topic. It carries 100 marks with a maximum time limit of 60 minutes.
Phase 4: Tier IV- Aspirants who succeed the above-mentioned stages need to appear in Tier IV for face to face interview and personal interview with a team of professionals of the subsequent fields.
